Women's Needs Assessment Protocol and Administration Manual
This protocol allows users to assess the needs of women with mental illness on three levels: 1) whether or not a woman has needs in a life domain; 2) who is meeting these needs, if she has them; and 3) levels of satisfaction with the type and amount of help received. The protocol was developed using a participatory action research methodology involving women in mental health recovery and service providers nationwide.
An administration manual detailing how to utilize the protocol in a variety of settings is available. The protocol is modularized, including the following domains:
- Recovery Mental Health Services/Supports
- Discrimination
- Vocational concerns
- Relationships
- Safety and Abuse
- Housing
- Parenting and Childrearing
- Financial concerns
- Physical health
