Statewide Transformation through Empowerment Training
Project Update
- In 2006, working through the California Network of Mental Health Clients, Office of Self Help, Technical Assistance & Training, the first cohort of 30 emerging mental health client leaders in California was recruited and attended a two-day leadership and advocacy workshop in Los Angeles, September 20 and 21. Subsequently, these individuals participated in a teleconference to receive support and technical assistance regarding the unique local and statewide advocacy projects they committed to during the first training. These clients will participate in live and teleconference trainings in 2007 and will continue working on their advocacy projects. Their progress on these projects is being tracked.
- The project collaborators developed a website with advocacy and leadership resources, which can be visited at: http://www.power2u.org/california.html
